Ask Dr. Tseday: July 13, 2009
MC from Brea, CA asks: What do you think is the right age to marry?
Dr. Tseday responds: What is more important than the “age” is what one has achieved before marrying. It is very important that one is independent and self-sufficient before getting married. One should marry after having done all the things a person could have done alone (i.e., education, employment, living within means, hobbies/interests developed, friendships established), and that from that point on, the company of another is necessary for a higher level of happiness. That is the time to marry.
