Ask Dr. Tseday: July 7, 2009
HP from Johnson City, TN asks: I do everything for my wife. We have a beautiful house, nice cars, good kids. We travel and eat at nice restaurants. My wife shops anywhere she wants. I don’t have any problem with anything she does. I love her very much, but I don’t seem to make her happy. Any suggestions you have, I’ll take.
Dr. Tseday responds: Pay attention to her, not to the things you provide for her or buy for her. Take the time and be available to spend time with her. Talk with her, listen to her, support her, and create a relationship that will let both of you share emotions and concerns. Doing these things with her, for her will make her (and you) happier.
