Ask Dr. Tseday: August 4, 2009
PA from Denver, CO asks: I’d like to run something by you. A good friend of mine just got hold of me after 10 years. Before we lost touch and went our separate ways, I tried calling her several times, but she never returned my call. I was mad about that then. She wants to get together for dinner. Should I go?
Dr. Tseday responds: Yes. “Life” sometimes gets in the way of meaningful relationships. Allow people to go through their life’s journey without punishing them for what they have to go through. Their journey has nothing to do with you. If their journey brings them back, welcome them. So meet up with your friend and enjoy telling each other what has been going on in your lives for the past 10 years.
