Ask Dr. Tseday: October 10, 2008
M. Williams from Atlanta, Georgia asks: I mentioned to my friends when we were talking how I don’t let my kids (4 & 2) have syrup on their pancakes. I don’t want them to get used to sugar. It’s junk and it’s not good for them. They thought I was crazy. I’m just asking for your opinion.
Dr. Tseday responds: No, I don’t think you’re crazy, but you’ve missed the boat. Control is not the way to go. Teach them moderation instead. You’ll prepare them better for the future.
