Parenting 101: It All Starts With Mom & Dad

Many parents bring their children to me and say, “fix my kid.” And I do my best to do what they asked of me. But before long, most often than not, I turn towards them to fix what is wrong because they are responsible for the majority of the problems their kids face. Rather than looking into the eyes of their kids as if they are completely at fault, I look at their parents and say this to them: “You need to change your own behavior before you ask your kids to change. It all starts with you” Most of them do not like my response, but deep down inside, they know I am right.

In the next episode of “Life Simplified,” I will talk about where parents go wrong in their parenting and what they should do instead for the sake and happiness of their children.
