Ask Dr. Tseday: January 2, 2010
OV from Brooklyn, NY asks: I developed a website for a friend of mine and she paid me $500. When she asked me how much to pay, I told her “just pay me something.” I know I shouldn’t have said that. If someone else had done it for her, it would have cost her at least $1500. Should I ask her to pay more?
Dr. Tseday responds: Sure. But make sure you don’t get upset with her if you don’t get what you want. Remember, you made the mistake of not being clear about your fees from the start.
