AT from Mpls., MN asks: I’ve always wanted to advance myself and would like to go to graduate school this fall. My husband won’t let me because we’re a bit strapped right now. I’d like to take a student loan to do it. Any thoughts?
Dr. Tseday responds: If the budget of the house is limited, you must wait. Taking a student loan puts a burden on the house. While advancement is great, it’s not to be at the expense of the household or the family.
