Ask Dr. Tseday: March 2, 2009
DGA from Washington, DC asks: I want to support my husband by going to his golf tournaments, but I don’t care for golf. It’s a very boring sport for me. And it’s brutal to watch it. What do I need to do to get through?
Dr. Tseday responds: Do a little switch in your head. Change your perspective. Instead of focusing on the “it” (i.e., golf), focus on him. Watch him enjoy his golf. Watch him get challenged. Appreciate his competitiveness, dedication, and sportsmanship.
